The spell checker is an american dictionary.

Yup already noticed that.

Even though I"m in the US, I was taught to spell certain words differently than some......

eg. Axe instead of the U.S version of Ax

Not that I made a point that entire year of using words which were in the dictionary I had-dated 1898 vs the current Webster's. :cool:

I'm the reason that particular English Lit. teacher started announcing which edition and publication dictionary was the one she would accept....:hehe:

Yea, even a straight arrow nerd can get a little ornery when pushed.

I'm surprised at how many words are different...and others with different meanings.

As Tom is moderating by very remote control as it were,  isn't the coffee getting cold by the time it reaches him, or does the trolly start with him on some days?
