I'm not sure if this should be a "knob or escrescence" (certainly my mind tends towards the latter word, but here goes.  I saw this in "another place" and was struck by the horror that we are apparently supporting Israel due to KS being a Jew (well, Jewish, anyway - see my other post).

[I would like someone to clarify, please - I always thought KS's seal was an equilateral triangle (as per G or R sign), and the Star of David was made from two of them.]

Right, take a look:

Solomons seal was no doubt an equilateral triangle and if I am not mistaken it should be represented on the back of the masters chair at the back of his head.

I believe there is also one on the royal Throne

Roy,

you asked about where this post should have gone... well I think  "Knobs and Excresences(sp?) is as good a place as any... cos KNOBS is as good a word as any to describe those people that listen to Icke and all his claptrap.

Did you click the link in that post by the way?  It is a firm of window manufacturers.  A further post asks the viewer to look at this companies logo... then they say tilt your head 90 degrees to the right.... they then go on to say its a pyramid with the capstone missing....which it DOES resemble...I'll give 'em that....  but the same argument could be used for Satanists.... you go on to a lot of Chistian sites and they have a cross on it... these loonies would then say... "ah.. but if you turn it upside down... thats.... AN UPTURNED CROSS.... THE SIGN OF SATANISTS"...... Christ on a bike.... gimme strength!!!:w00t:

[I would like someone to clarify, please - I always thought KS's seal was an equilateral triangle (as per G or R sign), and the Star of David was made from two of them.]

Seal of solomon is two equalateral triangles overlapping, and placed within a circle (just the star is the star of david)

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Seal_of_Solomon (yes i know its wikipedia but its the fastest way i could find a reference in my cabin! :) )

If i remember it correctly (not easy with me!) it was taken from his fathers "Star" and placed onto a ring so that he may use it as a seal, this then created the circle around the star and so became known as "Solomons Seal"

however the ickees are great! "one day everyone will wake up and realise that everything is not what it seems!" i hope they do soon, they are coming up with some real classic numptyness there :D

Oh wait im a mason...of course id say that! ;)

BTW edit to say wasnt Jesus himself jewish....oooooo are you going to tell them or am i?! ;)

Hm  I will need to do some digging now. The chair of Solomon allways has an equilateral triangle on the back, Also no jewels hold the 6 pointed star but in saying that the equilateral triangle is worn by our chaplains, Also from the master to the junior warden should crate an equilateral triangle with a center alter, as it should from the senior warden to the junior warden to the alter.

In a blue lodge there is No call for a 6 pointed star to be represented in other orders yes but in the blues I dont see that it should be present.

Ducks and runs :D

"As above, so below".....i can see one (good) reason why the lone the triangle is placed above the Masters chair. (Just an opinion of course ;)  )

the Magen David might not be the only attributed reasoning behind the 'Seal of Solomon' in our Lodges. Thats the wonder of Masonry and it's Symbols. So many meanings no?

Has anyone seen anything as this above the Master's chair?

The three are Hiram King of Tyre, Solomon, and Hiram Abif.
