Yes, the KTs are special and there are some membership requirements, as I understand it. If you use your Google-fu you can find some information. Be cautious as there are irregular organisations (i.e. non-Masonic organisations) that also use that name.

You should perhaps ask someone in your Mother Lodge about how things work where you are. It may vary from place to place.

Cheers - RoughAshlar.

Hi thank you for the reply. I looked online but nothing that insightful showed up, so i thought id ask everyones opinions on here for the no nonsense opinion. Dont want to push my friend on too many questions as i think im starting to wear him out with how enquisitive im being about joining the craft lol.

I don't think that the Masonic KT keep anything tighter to their chests than do the other side orders or even the Craft itself.

I am a member of both the Masonic KT and the Masonic Knights of Malta and am as open about that as I am about anything else relating to my Masonic life.

As a point to note the Masonic KT is not related to the historical KT. If one joins thinking it is then a disappointment may be on the horizon.

My daughter would have been particularly impressed had I been issued a horse on joining. :)

Wonderful, sign me up!

I don't want to push my luck but if I could have a pony instead that would go down even better...

I didn't think you were being funny, please don't worry.

I just like to point things out as they are at the earliest opportunity!

Thanks, I hope we are being of some help to you. Please keep asking questions as they come up...
