New minor grants announced by The Freemasons' Grand Charity

A total of £36,000 has been awarded in minor grants to national charities. They are the latest awards through The Freemasons' Grand Charity Minor Grants Scheme, which provides support for smaller charities active in the areas of youth opportunities, vulnerable people and medical research.

Provides legal representation for people who flee persecution abroad and who seek refugee protection in the UK.

British Stammering Association

Supports people with stammering through information and advice on treating or living with a stammer, or how to support others with stammers.

Camp Simcha

Supports Jewish children throughout the UK with cancer and other life threatening diseases.

£2,000

Children with Cystic Fibrosis Dream Holidays

Respite holidays for families with a child with Cystic Fibrosis.

£5,000

ERIC

Provides information and support to families with incontinent children.

£5,000

Marfan Trust

Funds research into the cause and prevention of Marfan Syndrome

Miracles

Charity provides immediate support to children and families in need.

£5,000

The Neuromuscular Centre

Provides services for people with the muscle wasting disease, muscular dystrophy.

Refuge

Refuge provides a network of safe houses offering emergency accommodation for women and children when they are most in need.

£5,000

10

TOFS

Provides support to families of children unable to swallow, such as children with Tracheo Oesophageal Fistula, Oesophageal Atresia and associated conditions.

YouthBank UK

Provides small grants for projects led by young people to help benefit the community.
