Forgive my ignorance, but I thought this was a social networking site......  ??

But then I'm often all lost and confused.

A social networking site is a place where you create your own page within a website and you can "add" friends who have done the same then share infomation with them like update what you have been getting up to and post photos etc common ones are facebook, myspace and bebo. This is discussion a forum site or forum for short where people come to disscuss things in this case masonic stuff however as i'm sure you are aware there is one out there for almost any topic. Hope that makes sense-ish :hehe:

Indeed so Bro Tony! People have joined Freemasonry or other Degrees through here, met up for drinks, visitied each others Lodges etc. I don't think we need a Facebook or Bebo site too.

My bad. It is a definition of term, rather than the use of term.

I think my confusion stems from the fact that through the control panel here, you can do most of that and have buddy lists etc. I find little difference. I'm on facebook and linked in I much prefer the message boards and forums such as this where all can enjoy a topic. -Much more social.

I cannot immagine being a moderator on something like facebook. :w00t:
