Just an idea, not trying to step on any toes.

I'll not continue then.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to stifle your enthusiasm etc. Although TFM isn't going to get involved in this kind of stuff at the moment why not approach one of the people already running another established site and offer your services and input to help them improve.

Of course there is always the proviso (long timers here will understand what I mean) of being prepared to wait with a bit of patience while changes are discussed and put into place.

Personally I dislike and distrust social networking sites like Facebook. I have a presence on there which I use to maintain contact with my children. Apart from two close friends already there, I ignore any other requests.

A very interesting idea, indeed!

But it would have to be done with much care, methinks!

Hi All

I was wondering what the members here thought of the concept of a social networking site, similar to, though less complicated than Facebook but dedicated to Freemasons?

It is something I am able to create and for those of us who find Facebook too much, a slimmed down version allowing members to post messages, share files etc might be of interest.

Please vote and let me know.

Thanks
Carl.

Fantastic idea..

I have joined the aforementioned http://www.masonicnetwork.org (although there is an obvious overlap with this here forum) and I must say first impressions are good - most of the useful bits you probably like from Facebook (messaging, groups, discussions, etc) and none of the junk - assuming nobody comes up with the "brilliant" idea of having a "LodgeVille" application on there!

Have yet to get my head round it though...

Forgive my ignorance, but I thought this was a social networking site......  ??

But then I'm often all lost and confused.

Would be a brilliant idea.

I was trying to find a way to get something like this made with an addition of a Masonic History wiki.

So far, I can not find the help I need though.
