My own one is focussed only on Masonic websites based within the British Isles and I am proud that the Grand Lodges of England and Ireland have both stated that they have no problem with sites joining it.

I especially like the banner,marquee and the blue graphics background for the links to the left.

There has been a lot of work put into it and I congratulate you on it. The Northern Irish websites for masonry aren't particularly stylish, so they could take a leaf out of your book.

So should I be ashamed that our website is live and not do my best to let brethren aware of its existance? If that is shameless then so be it.

I don't want to say the following but I feel I must: You know, I have only been here in this forum a short time but already I grow weary of having to double and triple check anything and everythtng I do and say for fear it may attract contradiction and derision from other members of this forum, even senior members (senior in this forum at least). 

If the welcome to a lodge was as thorney as it is within this forum I fear I would not make it to the festive board! So far my over-all impression of the forum is there a are a number of members who are about as pleasant as a box of frogs. Maybe I should take the varience approach and retire from the forum.

If posting our own lodge websites within the forum is officially frowned upon perhaps you should point this out in a guiding way to newer members rather than smart Alec comments about anyone attempting to 'shamelessly plug' anything.

As far as webrings are concerned I was under the impression they should not be used by sites bearing the charter mark (again, I am not ALL-Knowing unlike others). I was not aware any webrings in particular had been given special dispensation (at least the provincial webmaster did not make me aware such a site existed) so you must forgive my glaring ignorance of your own webring.

I note from your sig you are from the northeast. A place wellknown for it's 3 h's. Hope humour and honesty. Don't hunch your shoulders, get the hump, and go off in a huff. ;) 

You are now being a bit touchy... There are a number of things that take a bit of getting used to on forums such as this. Believe me I have had a rocky ride myself.

The first thing to learn is that what you type is not what others read!!! No kidding you can write something quite simple and very clear to you and someone out there will read it in quite a different way. And very often take offence when none was meant.

Its all to do with the fact that you cannot see, and have quite often never met, the person reading your posts. One cannot hear the 'tone of voice' in your posting nor see the 'look in your eye'

I have had some real clashes with forumites on here and when I met them 'in the flesh' they were the nicest of chaps even if the occasional one  is in error about stuff like Festive Boards, Emulation Ritual, Ladies who call themselves Brother, sausage rolls and Cliff Richard!

You have to learn the art of reading what is intended and not what it says in front of you. And you have to learn to give & take.. and try your very very best NEVER to 'Shoot From The Hip' .... 

It really is a very good forum and most of the regular contributors are really good people.

After all they are Masons...and you may find yourself sitting beside them at a Festive Board near you someday.
