Anyone see it tonight? Gyles Brandreth visited UGLE HQ to discuss Dan Browns latest work of fiction.

Just watched it on Iplayer. I must say a balanced and well put across piece. Gyles Brandreth has his facts right and talks about pre and post war secrecy and the fact that Dan Brown seem to have made bits up. Withe the fact that everyone will lap it up.

The clear message is that it will allow us to be more open.

The only error was in getting John Hammill and MArtin Faulks names round the wrong way.

Looked pretty good to me, explains that basically his work his fiction mixed with a little fact. Hope it does bring interest from others for the right reason.

Saw it last night, I half expected to see Mike in the background doing some charity stuff ;)

Still aside from the usual patronising BBC tone it was reasonably informative for those who have an interest. Let's hope it translates into

Thanks for the link Ally.

Well that was quite a good bit of PR. I'm glad I don't watch The One Show though, because it looks pretty lightweight and crap!

NP.

I thought it was a good bit of PR too.

I have read the book and thought it was also quite good for FM, although there are a few bits i'd rather not have seen. I have a couple of friends who are thinking about joining, and this will take a bit of the mystery away.

BTW, the show is no longer available on iPlayer! Ah bugger.
