Well, I think we are all sad pandas that we didn't make the playoffs for the first time in 15 years and the first time as the Oklahoma City Crusaders, all because of forfeits and the lack of bonus points, or is it because DARC kicked our *** when nobody shown up to play? Bummer either way.

That is all behind us, because (jumping for joy sarcastically) Sevens is here. Basically, means I am off season until Sept. even though Sevens is more of a speedster's game.

So end of season - how do I feel about the game?

Warriors got relegated, and consequently lost their DoR who I held in high esteem. This means my pitchside duties will intensify next year.

I didn't ref one single match that I didn't enjoy. Had my first taster of sevens.

And politics at my club look likely to kill off the colts

All in all, not great, but I still love it!!!!

Just a reminder about the Rugby World Cup to be held in NZ in 2011.

If any of you guys intend travelling down here to watch it and manage to get to Taupo, you can be sure of a very warm welcome to my home. I can't offer accommodation unfortunately, I have a small flat which my son Cameron shares with me but I make pretty good coffee!

You can find me in our local phone book under 'Keith Walker' which will give you my street address and phone number, or in the White Pages on the Net.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Godzone, Taupo is a town of 20,000 on the NE corner of Lake Taupo, the large lake shaped like Africa right in the centre of the North Island. It is about 4 hours drive from Auckland and 5,1/2 from Wellington

It seems that a lot of people are going overboard on accommodation prices so be careful. One Bed & Breakfast place in Auckland was said to be asking $1600 a night! OK, they are close to Eden Park but that's just OTT.

I feel for you Stu. Its going to be hard to get back to the G.P. - but not impossible....

Wasps have also had a disappointing season.. losing crucial matches at crucial times. At least we have qualified for the Heineken Cup... that is something to look forward to.

I am also worried about the politics of the club and not happy about the close association with Wycombe Football club... It does not bode well for the future.

Shouldn't be that hard. Nice to see 3 Warriors got International call-ups for the summer - Tom Wood and Graham Kitchener for England Saxons, and Alex Grove for Scotland!

Roy V (05/09/2009)
I am of the opinion that Rugby is not conducive to good Freemasonry. In fact it can be a bloody nuisance!

My Lodge meets on a Saturday afternoon at Cole Court, Twickenham, almost in the shadow of Twickers RFU ground, and only a few hundred yards from the Stoop: HQ I believe of Harlequins, and I have to travel along the Great Chertsey Road past both of them!

Mind you, the Masonic Centre makes a lot of money out of spare parking places, and even more money selling beer after the game.

Sorry Roy,
but my beloved and I may well have been two of those causing you consternation when we were at the England Australia match at Twickers last November.....Us pedestrians cause quite a hold up, I must say.... I think I saw you in fact... well it MIGHT have been you.. just a car I spotted with steam coming out of the windows hehehe

Hope you're keeping well mate.

Fraternally,

Tony.
