I wish he had. with a name like that he must be a Scot.

Why oh why did Blair not kick the ball out from the re-start. at least we would have got a draw.

And why do these guys keep getting sin-binned at crucial times.

Why was there a re-start? The clock, which gets stopped for any injuries, had gone past the 40 minutes by the time Wales equalled Scotland's score, so I didn't think there would be a restart, switched the telly off thinking it was a draw.:w00t:

There was a restart because Scotland had been warned about timewasting - which is a technical infringement. They probably didn't kick it out on the full for fear of being accused of a deliberate infringement, which would have cost them a penalty. They opted to restart in the hope of winning the ball at the next ruck, when they then could kick it out to make it dead. But Cymru were too good for them!!!!

Pah!!!!!

Too good for them... I think not!  The Welsh  were not better than Scotland except in one area - discipline!   While Scotland had 15 men on the pitch The Welsh could not live with them.

After losing Chris Paterson, Thom Evans, Alisdair Dickenson & Ross Ford to serious injuries quite early on. The discipline wavered and we had two men sin binned. Then I agree the Welsh were the better side. But it is not hard in Rugby to beat a side who only have 13 men on the pitch!

I like your use of the word probably - personally I thought that when Dan Parks went off at the end and Blair took the last kick he simply made a mistake.

Bring on England - even with half a team we will give them a mighty battle at Murrayfield...

This is an example of an incident, when having the Ref interviewed at the after match Press Conference would be excellent for the fans

I cannot help but be amused that Bro VM, who has always come across to me as very English, is a staunch supporter of Scotland yet although I was born in that country 56 years ago I have lived all of my adult life in England and support England in most sporting contests. (I have assimilated and pass Lord Tebbits "cricket test")

Bro Stephen (VM) are you in fact Scots?

Bro. Lauderdale,

I was born in Bellshill maternity hospital in October 1948. I lived in High Street, Motherwell until 1954. My Father is a Scot from Glasgow. All my family on my Fathers side are from the Glasgow area. We moved south to near Appleby in Westmorland in 1954 where I went to school.   From there we moved to Hampshire when I was 12 years old. I have lived here since then (50 years).

My heart is and always has been in Scotland - since we left there in 1954 we have had at least one trip to Scotland every year. I had my honeymoon in Scotland in 1971, and generally I now visit Scotland three times a year. Every Year!

I have visited every part of mainland Scotland many times over, We have also cruised the Scotish Islands many times actually visiting about 40 Islands. Last year we had our main holiday in Shetland. This year we will spend a couple of weeks on Orkney in June. I hope also to be in Edinburgh for the Tattoo in August and also for the Rugby autumn internationals in November. I may well have another flying visit during the year to visit Alan in Falkirk and visit his Lodge Polmont if I can fit it in.

My hobby is collecting Single Malt whisky - I have about 320 different full size expressions of Malt Whisky in my collection, then a further 500 or so miniatures! Further to that I have the TV in my study tuned into the Scottish BBC & ITV stations and I always buy the Scotish Sunday papers.

When I retire we are planning on moving back to Scotland - where else would I go?

Scottish and very proud of it!

Interesting comparison and contrast. I have lived here in SE England all of my adult life, 38 years now and love England although like yourself I do like Single Malt Whisky. If I had enough money to retire there I would move to the Algarve but will probably have to make do with staying here in Merrie England.

Yes we are all different Bro Lauderdale.

I have never really traveled outside of the UK. And never wanted to. Well very rarely... I took the children to Florida in 1992, Also I have had one holiday in Switzerland and I used to visit my daughter at University in Salamanca occasionally. that is it. I have no desire to ever travel abroad.

I occasionally fantasie about going to the Rugby World cup in New Zealand but it wont happen because I hate traveling especially flying. I am very happy to spend the rest of my life here in the UK especially my beloved Scotland.
