I have limited time to answer, as Northampton Saints are about to kick off v Worcester Warriors. I am the touchline official for Warriors, and I referee for North Midlands Society of Rugby Football Referees.

I am laws coach for Alcester RFC and used to play on the left wing or scrum half.

That's what we in the Army used to call the RAF.

In modern rugby, the backs are sometimes referred to as the girls. But none of us wear skirts:P

Rugby for me just now is a 7 days a week affair,

Mondays, Coaching the girls union team

Tuesdays, 1st and 2nd team training

Wednesdays, Scotland west International training

Thursdays, 1st and 2nd team and Girls training

Fridays, Hughenden  Training

Saturdays,  1st and 2nds games,

Sundays,  Morning Junior training, afternoon, girls games

Would I trade it all in for a football ! Hell NO

As our girls team training shirts say, Play hard, Play fair or play football

Is Rugby becoming a kicking sport? I heard the S.Africa beat the All Blacks because it turns out they are always kicking.

At practice we had the fullback go into the backline and I was playing the weakside wing filling in as fullback just in case the dreaded kicks come flying.

Cheers

There's cheating as in playing the game to the limit of law and playing the referee;) and there's cheating as in Bloodgate. Only a very tiny minority of the rugby fraternity would cheat as in Bloodgate:cool:

I do remember playing an inter regimental game against the engineers and our manager asked me to go down feigning an ankle injury so that we could make a substitution, Pretty sure that subs were not allowed at that time unless to replace injuries. He wanted to try out a new second row for the last 15 minutes. Even the ref new i was faking it, Rugby skills good acting skills crap. This was 20 years ago. So it has always gone on, just this time with the blood capsule it was caught on camera.
