I too have eaten at Harry's: breakfasts there are fine. Another favourite was that cafe just off Marlborough Square (I think) behind the market-open 24 hrs, I believe-ideal for a late night injection of lard. Can't remember the name.

Steve: I read in another post that you are in Bournemouth? You could always navigate yourself down to Harry Ramsdens , near the BIC, and attempt the Harry Ramsden's challenge: a whole haddock fillet (and they are BIG) chips and mushy peas: if you finish it all, you get a certificate and a free dessert. I proudly completed it 8 or 9 years ago. They have silver cutlery down there, chandaliers and a pianist on some nights: fish and chips at it's finest.

Cheers

Mark, I have to disagree. Tanya and I ate there this past May when we were down for our Ladies Festival, and it was 100% the worst meal we had ever had! (As we were leaving a lady asked us to assist her with a survey, we gladly took the survey, when she offered us £10 voucher for our trouble, we told her to keep it, and go try the food for herself).

I came back from Bournemouth to Reading yesterday as I had only gone there for a few days over the Xmas period.

Hi Ally

Ouch! Sorry to hear about that-it must have gone downhill since I have visited (maybe still reeling from the shock of having to give away all that food!).:w00t:

Hope you had a good Christmas.

Best wishes

Mark
